This program does not require any diving certification: we will teach you the basics in a 30-minute class and then introduce you to your first dive. We can take you to Casa cenote (instead of in a pool, which is the only choice in most places) or the reef (in ideal weather conditions). We also provide refresh dive courses for people who have not dived in a long time.
There are many types of cenotes. Mature cenotes, which are normally completely open, can be very deep. Dive into the sulfur clouds created by organic matter, deep down into the “Xibalba” (“underworld” in Maya”). You can choose between The Pit, Angelita, and Ka’an Luum. These dives require some previous experience in shallower cenotes.
Dozens of cenotes are located within 20 minutes from Tulum. All of them are different in colors rock formations, visual light effects, and diving difficulty. You can choose among Dos ojos, Gran cenote, Calavera, Carwash, and Dreamgate. Don’t miss this opportunity to witness this natural phenomenon that is unique to the Yucatan Peninsula.
