The Pit Cenote

The Pit is the deepest cenote of Quintana Roo, with a depth of approximately 120 m. This giant cavern provides one of the most spectacular dives in the area and includes stunning light shafts that penetrate down to a layer of sulphur located at 35 m. This cenote has giant hanging stalactites and areas with a high decorative content. This dive requires some previous experience in cenote diving and a good buoyancy control.
